New Service Requests - New Customer Application
These procedures apply when a property that has
existing service and the transfer of property ownership or the owner of record
necessitates transferring service to a new customer.
1. The following steps must be completed to establish
service as a new customer:
property owners must contact the District and obtain a new customer
packet. This new customer packet will consist of:
new owner cover letter prepared for their property
Water District Service Application Card
and sewer rate and fee information
shut off valve information
winter care of plumbing information
reduction and property Protection information

2. New property owners will be required to sign the
Water District Service Application Card where indicated and return it to
our office by the date identified in the cover letter. The Water
District Service Application Card is our contract with customers for
water service. Failure to do so will result in the water meter
being locked by a date identified in the new owner cover letter.
Once the water meter is locked, a signed signature card must be returned
before the meter will be unlocked at a cost of $35 during normal business
hours (Monday 9:00am - 5:00pm Tuesday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm) or
an additional $35.00 after 5:00pm, for a total of $70.00. Meters will not be unlocked

Reconnection Form. If the
Water District Application Card is not received within 60 days of the
lock date, the meter will be disconnected and the customer will be
responsible for all applicable reconnection and past due fees.
3. A return envelope for returning the completed Water
District Service Application Card is provided for customer convenience.
4. Please review the documents included in the new customer packet since
this provides important information regarding the nature of District
services and protecting your home.
5. Customer water meters will generally be read
between the 10th and 20th of the month. Depending on the weekends
and holidays we could start reading on the 8th or 9th of the month.
