Ryan Gross as New General Manager

Ryan Gross Brings More Than 14 Years of Experience in Public Agency Management, Water Resources, Civil and Environmental Engineering to the Running Springs Water District.

The Running Springs Water District (RSWD or District) is pleased to announce that Ryan Gross has been selected as General Manager of the District.  The District looks forward to welcoming Ryan on July 2, 2012.  He brings more than 14 years of experience in public agency management, water resources and civil and environmental engineering.  His background includes experience in municipal program and project management, public works engineering, construction management and inspection, land development, hydrology and environmental permitting.

The Running Springs Water District Board of Directors are enthusiastic to bring Ryan Gross on board stating that his extensive background in engineering will benefit the District with knowledgeable oversight of the District’s many capital projects.

As a local resident, Ryan graduated from Rim of the World High School, and then obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering from UC-Riverside and his Master of Science Degree in Engineering from Cal-State Long Beach.  Ryan is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer in the state of California and a Board Certified Environmental Engineer with the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.  Ryan is married and has three children in the Rim of the World School District.

Since 2005, Ryan has served as the District Engineer for the Lake Arrowhead Community Services District (LACSD) where he managed the LACSD engineering department and periodically served as Acting General Manager.   His experience in managing the planning, environmental, design, bid and construction of improvements to the Grass Valley Wastewater Treatment Plant to provide recycled water for outdoor irrigation as well as many other capital improvement projects will be invaluable to the District.  

Prior to LACSD, Ryan was employed by the Inland Empire Utilities Agency, whose mission is to supply imported and recycled water and provide wastewater treatment, compost and renewable energy from methane gas and solar generation.  Ryan also worked 3 1/2 years with the design engineering firm, PBS&J where he was a design team member for public works projects. This experience will assist the Running Springs Water District in accomplishing our mission to provide water, fire, emergency medical service, sewer, and other beneficial services to the community in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.
Ryan stated “I am excited about this opportunity and look forward to joining the Running Springs Water District Team and helping to lead the District into the future.”

Once again, the Running Springs Water District welcomes Ryan Gross as General Manager on
July 2, 2012.  His work with both private and public agencies in developing and maintaining water, sewer and other public works projects will help lead the District into the future.

The Running Springs Water District is a local public agency charged with the duty of supplying and maintaining water service, providing fire and emergency medical care services and operating wastewater collection and treatment facilities for the residents, users and taxpayers of this area. The District is an independent special District that was formed in March 1958.
